Royal Sutton Fun Run 2026 – A Fantastic Day for Running in Sutton Coldfield

The Royal Sutton Fun Run once again brought thousands of runners, spectators and volunteers together for one of the Midlands’ most iconic running events.

As a six-time Royal Sutton Fun Run winner, the event will always hold a special place in my heart. While I wasn’t able to add a seventh victory this year, I was delighted to finish 4th overall, and 1st Veteran 40 runner in another highly competitive field, and experience the incredible atmosphere that makes this race so special.

From experienced club runners chasing personal bests to first-time participants taking on the challenge of the 8.5-mile course, the Royal Sutton Fun Run continues to showcase everything that is great about running in Sutton Coldfield.

A Race Steeped in Sutton Coldfield History

The Royal Sutton Fun Run has become one of the most recognised community sporting events in the UK. Each year, thousands of runners take on the challenging route through Sutton Coldfield, cheered on by enthusiastic crowds lining the streets.
